This week we’re joined by Gamasutra’s Leigh Alexander who gives us the skinny on new indie title, Sleep is Death. Very nice guest she is too. Leon and Neil haven’t been playing much this week but we do dive into the mailbag quite a bit so there’s still plenty of chat to go around.

This week we have a right old drool over Just Cause 2, along with a little bit more of Dragon Age (Awakenings) and Pokemon SoulSilver. Alongside that we have some more mailbag questions and a right old natter about that one of our forum members made through the week.

xib’s fallen into the iPod Touch generation with a “pwwvviiiiifft!” and with that brings Civilization Revolution, Tiger Woods PGA Tour and Mafia Wars. Jay’s finished Dragon Age and played the Mass Effect 2 DLC while Leon’s finished Heavenly Sword and played Metro 2033 and Might & magic: Clash of Heroes.

This over-sized ‘cast also brings you heaps of discussion, debating, gesticulating and testiculating. No less than what you’ve come to expect for the three dorks. Hoorah.

Features include Neil talking about his entire, start-to-finish Heavy Rain experience (NB. pretty much entirely spoiler-free), Dragon Age: Origins returns as Leon polishes her off & Jay takes the plunge, risking personal hygiene & his marriage to bring us his insight. Furthermore Neil has continued his journey through Final Fantasy XIII, Leon has properly polished off Plants Vs. Zombies, kicked off Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Electric Boogaloo and sampled a few more besides including XBLA Perfect Dark & Mass Effect.

After another enthralling Middle Bit in the Middle we make space in part 3 to discuss the forthcoming PowerGig: Rise of the SixString and chew over PlayStation’s bullish US Move marketing. Is it clever & cool or is it cynical fanboy-baiting? Jay clambers up on his well-worn soap box & rants, incoherently about something or other.

What We Have Been Playing includes the behemoth Final Fantasy XIII as well as Just Cause 2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, Plants Vs. Zombies on iPhone, Madden NFL 10, Dragon Age: Origins, inFAMOUS and we also find time to discuss the murky, or is it wonderful?, world of so-called ‘Strategy Guides’.

In part 2 we dissect the now unveiled Sony D!ld0B@ll, ahem ‘PlayStation Move control solution’ – is it more than just Wii HD or should we simply Eff it in the Bee?

Unfortunately we’re still without the muckle-fingered Scotsman this episode so it’s down to Leon and Jay (who needs to pay more attention to his mic settings – the fool!) to blather on about games and things this week including their thoughts about the latest PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain and some of the other stuff and nonsense that have been going on in the wonderful world of the videogame.

However, Cory “Demiurge” Banks from the Gamers with Jobs was kind enough to stand in and give us some of his chat. Hear us discuss what we’ve been playing along with our views on Microsoft’s recent announcement that they’ll be discontinuing Xbox LIVE support for the original Xbox on the 15th of April.

Then we discuss Beta testing. Do we play Betas just to get a sneak peak on upcoming games? Do we actually try to get involved with the actual testing and is it fair to discuss games while they’re still in Beta? Shouldn’t there be a moral consideration before signing up to a beta? Then we talk about the need to buy games on day one. What makes us so excitable about new games? Do we just have a poor attention span? All this and more on this week’s episode.

Getting back into the rhythm of a regular podcast again, we talk about what we’ve been playing: EyePet, Madden NFL Arcade, Hustle Kings, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, The Beatles: Rock Band, MAG beta, and the Tropico demo to name but a few.

Speaking of Bonsai Barber, our headline feature this episode is an almost half hour interview with the CEO of Zoonami, one Martin Hollis, who offers fascinating insight into the world of WiiWare and Rare. Inspired by our forum, is it right to allow children to play games that are clearly marked as intended for an older audience? And iPhone/iPod Touch gaming: is it about to take its place as a direct peer to PSP and DS?

We had a great time making this one and thanks to refreshments, giggles and a good rapport with the Frugal Guys, we ended up with enough material to make a pretty good out-takes section, except we just decided to leave them where they occurred. Hope you enjoy.

This week we hit the ground running with a review of the FEAR2 Demo, Call of Duty: World at War and a special “live” first impressions session of Skate 2. What do we mean when we say “live”? Well, it’s something new for us and we’re excited about it.

Add some gaming news and a little rant from xib and you’ve got the whole of episode 37 in a nutshell.

This episode we’re joined by Atheistium from Destructoid’s Podcastle show. She starts of a little mousy but god damn, by the middle of part 2 she lets rip on a rampage of all sorts.

We cover a little bit of gaming news but being honest, once we get on to What Have You Been Playing, the hijack kicks in and even Uzi admits that he’s been lost for words.

That said, it’s a fun-packed show and no one was hurt in the making of the episode. Much.

This week we have Elmo from the JoyPod gang sitting in with us. We we say ‘sitting in’; he comes in, poops on our carpet and rubs it in with xib’s face. Uzi just sits back and laughs as he does. Still, won’t be long before he gets replaced by elmo completely.

Sorry we’re late this week!

Like other old times we just chat about games and rubbish non stop. There is the news as usual, then Uzi tells his padawan Xib how Star Wars Force Unleashed fares. We also cover the oddworld games (well the first one mainly) and we get VERY excited about October (again) with Dead Space and Saint’s Row 2. xib even confesses that Geo Wars Evolved has been owning his heart.

So what about this week? This week Uzi rants about too human and almost loses his temper. On the bright side, we cover Geometry Wars Evolved, Mercenaries 2, Rock Band an the Pure demo.

In incoming we drool over Fable 2 and Fallout 3 and I try to assemble plans about what I’m going to play first and properly in the incoming deluge of great games.

90 minutes of us doing our thang in that same old style you’ve grown to know.

This is a quick half-hour show to let everyone know that we’re still kicking and champing at the bit to get back to podcasting. We kick off with a 7-minute long BRAIDgasm from Uzi and then once xib can finally get a word in, we talk about what’s coming up in games titles in the next two months.

We found out as the conference went on that we might have been expecting too much. The whole experience was pretty unbelievable. Listen and find out why for yourself. Please note that we haven’t given this much edit time simply because we felt it just wasn’t worth it.

We sat through the Microsoft Conference Live and recorded all our reactions, chat, lols and screams through the entire thing. We did obviously shut up and listen and watch a lot of it so this is not the enitre conference and we do reccomend you watch it yourself . A first look at Ninja Gaiden 2,  Uzi’s view of World of Warcraft and Pocket has a little bit of Assault Heroes 2 and me and Uzi getting confused about Folklore reccomendations. There’s also a little bit of Second Life retrospective since Uzi and I actually forged our friendship in this “game”. Love it or not, Second Life is part of the reason why you have this podcast today.

Whilst surfing the wave of live competition fail the conversation gets a little more off-topic and the humour gets quite left of field. It’s only fair that I warn you people now that the humour gets edgy but we found it funny all the same.

The chat is relaxed and We’ve even tried out a few new production methods so feedback would be especially appreciated this week. Sure, if it’s not broken then we shouldn’t try to fix it but there’s nothing wrong with trying to make improvements either. Right?

This week on the midweek show we feature an interview that we had with Mr. Nic Watt, founder and owner of Nnooo games about his new game, Pop™. What a splendid and lovely chap he is, too.

Uzi and I also open a new competition each and I even drop a wee surprise announcement towards the end of the show. If you follow the show and my indecisiveness then it might make you giggle.

Uzi falls in love with the sound of his own voice during his Condemned 2 review, but this is allowed. After spending thousands of credits on new studio equipment he was just testing his setup!

This week we air the interview the Lono from Sarcastic Gamer who is a very nice man indeed. You can hear a mile away that we were star-struck by him though.

This week we talk about the best of XBLA and the PSN store. There are some small announcements relating to the web site and a teeny weeny wee sneaky peak into the coming show on Friday.

A very nice man called Toz from Cranky Gamers joined us tonight and we waxed long and lyrical about gaming. Oh, we set more than one record straight, I tells ya. This is a 2 hour behemoth that was effortless in the making. At least on my part. Make no mistake that the Xbox360 and the PlayStation3 were covered to no end while all the others were left feeling unloved.
