Darksiders

If you have something to say about videogames you can write about it here. Past or present. It's all good.

It's taken 14 hours but i've clocked it, really enjoyed it. I can't really say much more without spoiling the games features but it's a top quality game throughout, it's just a shame it looks a little poop in areas, has really bad screen tearing (something I don't mind/notice in other games) and it a wee bit buggy overall.

Still, glad I bought it, it deserves a sale It's just annoying that games like this don't have a new game+ option where you can restart it with your powered up character, i'd be tempted to pickup all the loose ends if you could.

Top game, better than the Dantes Inferno demo which won't be getting a day one sale from me now that "GoW itch" has firmly been scratched.

It's the year of the hack'n'slasher innit, what with this, GoWIII/Trilogy and Dante's - not to mention Bayonetta. Rather too many of the same genre in a short period some might argue.

Yeah I think it was wise of THQ to push it out at it's current state rather than wait a month and watch it caught behind Dantes and possibly GoW III. The setup for the next Darksiders has some serious potential to be great if it is what I think it should be

Spoiler:
At the end, you see the other three horseman raining down from the sky to fight the next battle 4 player online co-op? Could be mental if done right

Just finished writing my short review for the local paper and rewarded the game an 8 out 10. I feel the game was just shy of being a 9 due to the pretty crusty graphics, control issues and screen tearing which is a shame.

Here's hoping the sequel gets the proper treatment but not a bad effort for your first ever title for the studio.

I'm enjoying this game quite a bit. Not sure I should have picked up GoW collection & Demon's Souls at the same time ! So little time...

Started to play this properly now i've finished Bayonetta. It's a shame some people i know have said “i don't want 2 of the same type of game”,as they feel quite different and both equally brilliant. Bayonetta's a mental, over-the-top game, this is more a Zelda/Metroid, "see an area you can't reach, then later gain a new ability and go Eureka!".

In an ideal world i'd say buy both. It'll be interesting to see how this fares...

Darksiders

I mean it's like a shit version of zelda meets a shit version of god of war meets a shit version of something else. It's just all crap versions of other stuff mushed together, but for some reason... it just clicks and works. I'm having great fun playing it, especially considering I got it for 15 quid.

Though I dare say it's the kind of game only gamers will like.

I picked it up months ago (February maybe) for £20 but haven't played more than the opening section yet.
I'd like to get it done before the year is out so I can include it in my end of 2010 reckoning.

Yeah, I got that too. But its a classic image, and one I think works well.
In fact, when I saw Arthas, I thought it would be nice if my character could wear that guy's armor.
And now, in Darksiders, I can.

Now I just need to actually buy the game.
Its super cheap in the stores, but Alan Wake is ahead on my list.

Just playing the demo. There are things that frustrate me.
But I still want to play this game.

There is something appealing about it, that works for me. In ways that other games fail to do.
It feels better playing this, than Dante's Inferno. People compare the two, but I think they are radically different.
Just as Bayonetta is different from both of those. Its a shame they all got lumped together as God of War clones.

Welp, I actually did a search and all I got was menitons of darksiders in other threads and never actually spotted this one. I blame alcohol, if Xib can blame it for acting like an idiot then so can I!

I'm not an achievement whore, but is it just me that thinks that there shouldn't be achievements for different difficulties? I mean you're either condemned to sucking it up and playing the game on the hardest setting first time round, or being the kind of person who will go through a second time just for the achievements. (I noticed there was an achievement for apocolyptic difficulty)

I played the DarkSiders demo for the 3rd time today.
Im trying to convince myself to buy the game.
Or maybe decide I hate it, and just move on.
I can't seem to do either.

The game is fun enough, that I want to play the full version.
But there are frustrating points which put me off.
The first boss (Tiamat)... pisses me off, something fierce.

So, rather than buying the game, I just keep playing the demo over and over.
